1. Dr. Rogelstad has performed well over 10,000 cataract surgeries
2. Dr. Rogelstad attended medical school at the University of Western Ontario where he was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
3. Dr. Rogelstad won the Horner Medal for the highest standing in ophthalmology in his graduating medical school class.
4. Dr. Rogelstad holds a Master’s Degree in physics and a PhD in mathematics.
5. Dr. Rogelstad provided visiting ophthalmology clinics to several underserviced communities in northern and northwestern Ontario
6. Dr. Rogelstad was instrumental in developing a cataract surgery program in Marathon, Ontario where he provided services for over 25 years.
7. Dr. Rogelstad has over 30 years experience as a general/comprehensive ophthalmologist.
8. Dr. Rogelstad has previous experience as both CPSO peer assessor and a member of their Inquires, Complaints and Reports Committee.
9. Dr. Rogelstad has served on various hospital committees, including six years as Chief of Surgery.
10. Dr. Rogelstad holds an Airline Transport Pilot’s License and has prior experience as a flight instructor.
