Meet Dr. David Tingey

Things you should know about your surgeon

1. Dr. Tingey completed residency at Western University followed by a fellowship in glaucoma at Harvard University
2. Dr. Tingey has been a staff consultant at the Ivey Eye Institute, seeing cataract and glaucoma patients since he returned to London in 1991.
3. Dr. Tingey is currently an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University.
4. Dr. Tingey previously served as the research committee chair for the department of ophthalmology at Western University
5. Dr. Tingey is a member of the Canadian glaucoma society
6. Dr. Tingey is on the executive board of examiners for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
7. Dr. Tingey is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology
8. Dr. Tingey is an examiner for the Ophthalmology Board Exams in Kuwait
9. Dr. Tingey is a lifelong learner with a particular interest in cataract surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma
10. When not at work Dr. Tingey enjoys fitness, music and spending time with his 7 children and numerous grandchildren
